Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 3, 2026

At Webclat, we treat privacy as a foundational material of our data engineering craft, not an afterthought. This Privacy Policy details how we handle information on this website. Our internal and client data operations are engineered to comply with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other applicable privacy regulations through strict data minimization and purpose limitation.

1. Information We Collect

When you contact us, request a consultation, or use the interactive audit tool, we collect what you voluntarily provide: business contact details and any dataset descriptions you submit. In addition, we collect behavioral and usage data automatically — pages visited, clicks and interactions, session and device information, IP address, and online identifiers — through client-side and server-side instrumentation. Behavioral data engineering is our craft, and this website runs the same instrumentation we build for clients.

2. Cookies, Analytics & Advertising

We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for analytics and advertising, including measurement of site usage and the performance of our marketing campaigns. Where required by law, non-essential cookies and trackers load only after you give consent through our banner, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time — including declining all non-essential cookies. You can also control cookies in your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

The information you provide is used exclusively to respond to your inquiries and evaluate potential partnerships; provide requested documentation, proposals, or audit results; execute contractual obligations for our services; and maintain standard business and tax records as required by law. We retain inquiry data only as long as needed for these purposes and as required for business records.

4. Service Providers & Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Infrastructure providers — hosting, form delivery, AI processing, email, fonts — and analytics and advertising partners process data under our instruction or as described above. Where any sharing constitutes "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under CCPA/CPRA, you may opt out via the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer. We may disclose information if required by law or valid legal process.

5. Client Data Handling

Data collected on this website is distinct from data we process for clients. When engaged as data engineers, we act entirely as a Data Processor (GDPR) or Service Provider (CCPA): our clients remain the Data Controllers, and we design their pipelines for consent-aware, auditable architectures. Client data is never commingled or used for Webclat's own purposes.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and — under GDPR — the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us below. We verify and honor all such requests systematically.

7. Security

We implement rigorous technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. No internet transmission is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
